from 807 reviewsPurchased the KS1 Alpine Boot Cut base layer for a recent trip to Lake Tahoe. At 56 years old my knees are a little worn out to say the least. Skied for 4 days and I can say that the base layer made a difference. They were warm and comfortable. On a side note customer service was also great. I had placed my order before Christmas with what I thought was enough time prior to my trip. When I checked the tracking it appeared that my order was going to arrive late. Contacted customer service and explained my issue. Was able to place a new order with priority shipping, which arrived in time and cost less. Received a refund for the original order with no issues. Would highly recommend.
Shipping did take 3 weeks, delays must likely due to Christmas and East Coast snow. Bracelayer seems to only have a customer support email and no phone contact.i prefer phone contact for customer service but the customer service emails were answered promptly. Also sale was advertised while I was waiting for bracelayer to arrive, I emailed Custer support and I was refunded for the sale amount at 30% off!
Bracelayer is my go to for running in cold Colorado weather. So comfortable I prefer to keep it on throughout the day.
Just got back from Stowe, VT. , I loved my K2 Alpine thermal base . I'm 71 with a new knee replacement and I skied 13 straight runs from the top 2 of the days . My knees and legs felt and feel great. No pain and and very comfortable and stabilizing , and they are warm. Base temps were single digits, winds a constant 20 to 25 with gusts of 35 to 40 mph and snowing the whole time. Great product that let me ski right along my 26 year old Grandson on every run. Thanks
These fit better then any knee brace you could ever put on. Excellent product.
Tights are awesome! Warm and supportive. Just wish they had a fly so it's easier to use the restroom.
Great support for squats and running!
My wife loves this base layer. Comfortable support for her knees and very warm. Loves the way they fit at the waist. Her second pair, the same great value.
This is my third pair of KS1 Alpine Bracelayer 1st two were full length. Wanted to try a 7/8 length in my ski boots. Purely for fit in the same. Result, works like a charm. As with all 2 previously full length, these perform the same but fit better in my ski boots. Great product, reasonable price, no more knee or hip pain while/after skiing hard. Charging the hill again. Only one thing I would suggest: get rid of the pockets. Not needed under ski pants.
I am a 68 year old ski instructor that tries to ski aggressively when free skiing. At my age though not all the "parts" want to cooperate so having skied with Bracelayer twice I am impressed with the level of support it is giving me. The "parts" (knees, hips, and legs in general) are benefiting from the support Bracelayer is providing. I feel that I can ski harder for longer now.
My knees just turned 60, and this season I started ski patrolling at a local mountain several times a week. I was using regular long johns with an Amazon neoprene + hinge brace on one knee, and a regular elastic brace on the other. Saw ads for Bracelayer on the socials and thought, “hmph…gimmick.” But I finally decided to bite the bullet and try a pair. And they are actually and truly great. Got the KSI alpine boot cut model. EXCELLENT knee support, and they keep my knees feeling fresh and supported for hours (I sometimes do double shifts and am on skis for 10 hours). Plus they’re toasty, and just use a shell over them. Well made, burly materials, and appreciate drawstring waist to keep them up. Already shopping for a second pair. Highly recommend.
Both my husband and I are advanced skiers and have knee aches and pains that impacts our stamina. We have worn braces and such… these provide the stability and warmth that we have been missing! Bottom line, if you want to ski more and feel good - get these!!!
So, KX2 neoprene areas around the knees gives that little bit of compression / support that translates into confidence. The fleeced interior is nice & warm when your on the slopes or at the gym. Additional warmth is always a good thing.
These pants fit very well. I plan on using them on the Ski slopes soon.
Thanks
They work very well. Knee pain for me is gone. Even just getting in them, you feel more energized - like you have bionic legs to a point. They're comfortable. I have large calves, so a little slit at the bottom of each leg took off that pressure and they still work fine. Buy a pair - they're good.
