Taking a snow day? The Women's KX2 Alpine is a supportive thermal base layer with built-in knee and hip support to keep your joints protected and warm this winter. These compression tights have a fleece-lined interior and a thin layer of perforated neoprene around the knee and hips to increase stability & balance and reduce joint impact & knee pain. The KX2 Alpine is the perfect compression pants for snowboarding, skiing, and other cold-weather activities.

Our unique Tri-Tech support layer around the knees and hips features an antibacterial and thermal StabiLuxe™ compression base and a thin layer of perforated, medical-grade neoprene:

    Let Me Begin by saying that I can't review these for their use snowboarding since it's too early for that activity, even in Montana. I will say however that I had to order a women's XL because these run very small. I am a fit 5'6 in 20 lb female with muscular legs, no butt, no belly and I normally wear a men's small or a men's medium in compression shorts and compression long johns. So, that's what I ordered and I couldn't even get the bottom part of my leg into them. So bracelayer was kind enough to suggest that I wear a women's extra large. These are a bit too big, but I was afraid that a large would be like trying to squeeze myself into sausage casing or a neoprene wetsuit. I've worn these several times for my cardio and stretching workouts and I will say that the knee support is good and there is also decent, low back and hip support. I just don't like that. I burn more calories, putting them on and taking them off than I do in my workouts. I will let you know how I feel about them once snowboarding season begins.

A couple things to note: our pants do require a bit of a break-in period, so it may be worth your while to keep trying! Also, you might prefer our KS collection, which is designed to provide a little more flexibility in sizing than our KX collection.     The pressure on my knee caps caused painful issues in my knees. I was only able to wear them a few times.

    I wore these when I went out downhill skiing and found were warm plus that they gave extra support holding my knees. Have had surgery on both knees but still wear knee braces on top of these. Love them!

    I have an old knee injury (torn meniscus), and every now and then, certain motions during exercise really bother it. This baselayer held my knee firmly in place and still made range of motion possible. I will be buying a second pair soon!
